  • New College Durham

    New College Durham

Completed in 2005, LPS was appointed as project manager for the complete redevelopment of the 1960's campus buildings. The extremely complex phasing of the 26,500m2, £36m project entailed complete demolition of all existing buildings and construction of a brand new campus on the existing site the College remained in business at all times during the project. Completed on time and with a strict budget, the project is still cited by the funder as an exemplar project in the sector, providing significant value for money. LPS was retained by the College to obtain outline planning consent for the £12m, phase two project comprising additional teaching space, as the College continues to expand through success in delivering its curriculum.

  • Durham University Student Accommodation

    Durham University Student Accommodation

The University required 1000 new en-suite, self catering student accommodation rooms together with creation of a brand new College to be constructed on two sites in Durham. LPS was appointed as project manager for this £35.5m project that was completed in 2006. The new Josephine Butler College has a range of facilities including bars, gymnasia, common rooms, library, shop and laundry, all constructed under green roof technology. The student residences were constructed using tunnel form (continuous concrete pour) technology. The project was delivered on time and on budget.

  • Bedmax Andover

    Bedmax Andover

Bedmax is a company specialising in producing very high quality horse bedding through complex automated processes. The building shell was provided by a developer for rental back to Bedmax and the fit-out works were carried out as a direct contract by Bedmax. LPS prepared fully detailed specifications to ensure that the exacting client's requirements were met, together with project monitoring and financial reporting services for both the shell and fit-out contracts. The £3m facility was completed and handed over on time in 2008. Although Bedmax has it's roots in the North East, this project was in Hampshire but LPS was still appointed as project manager due to our exceptional capabilities in successfully managing and delivering construction projects.
